Meet your guide, Ana

It all began with a deep love for food, wine, and my beautiful country. I believe Slovenia is a truly unique and authentic destination, which inspired me to follow my passion and introduce it to people who appreciate great wine, delicious local food, breathtaking nature, and rich traditions and culture. My goal is to create exceptional experiences for fellow food lovers from all over the world.

I grew up surrounded by a love for fermented grapes. Passionate discussions about wine filled our home for as long as I can remember, so my journey to where I am today began long ago. Along the way, I’ve gathered 20 years of experience in tourism, earned international sommelier and WSET 3 diploma, discovered Slovenia’s best-kept secrets and opened many bottles of wine.

Vanesa Centrih is an ASI Level 3 certified sommelier and a WSET Level 3 student with a strong passion for wine education and hospitality. She works as a Head Sommelier at the boutique Hotel Vila Planinka, where she creates authentic wine experiences focused on terroir and thoughtful food pairings.

She also leads wine workshops and tastings, sharing her knowledge in a warm and approachable way while making wine culture accessible and memorable for guests.
